So lately both Eric and I have been in full-blown parent mode. Its even there as we sleep. A couple nights ago Eric awoke and was terrified when he felt Lanie off to his side and couldn't figure out how she got there and worried that she would fall off. But when he reached out to grab her, all he felt was a handful of fur and a lot of meows.
Then last night, I set my alarm to wake me up to make sure I could feed her but I didn't fully wake up when it went off. A few minutes later I reached over to grab Lanie to get her ready to eat but I first felt a tail. Immediately I try to figure out where Bella was. I couldn't find her but it took me a little while as I tried to figure out how my daughter had grown a tail.
So needless to say we are either becoming somewhat confused over loss of sleep or our cat is set on making us crazy as fast as possible.
So I know I have stolen the same pictures from both Shauna and April's but they did such a good job, I had to. April came up yesterday and brought some supplies to take pictures of our little girl. And while they shots all look perfect and it looks like she could have been sleeping for hours...she wasn't so April did a great job even with a very light-sleeper baby.
I'll post more pictures soon but here's some to get you started...She was born on September 15, 2009 at 5:08 pm. She was 7 lbs 6 ounces and 21 inches long. So far she's been doing very well. She is still a very happy little girl but enjoys sleeping a lot. The new trick will be in helping her learn how to stay awake.
This will hopefully be my last tummy picture. She will be coming out sometime and hopefully sooner than later.
So this the final room that wasn't seen before. To give you a better idea of what was done...Shauna made the curtains (including the sheers). She also made the whole bedding set. The inside of the bedding is made with a minky dot material so its extra soft while the outside is covered in the same polka dot material as the curtains. Its now so fun to keep the door to the room open just to see it. Its so bright and colorful and makes the whole room feel complete.
So we had orginally bought a carseat that had a blue and brown print. It was cute but as we bought it online it was a little more "boyish" looking than we expected. So when Shauna got her but LaNea didn't we started working on some fun projects. The best part of this is that she created her own pattern to get it made and now we have an adorable carseat that will be perfect for our little girl. Now all we need is for her to get here!!!So for all those who don't know, thought I'd mention that she didn't want to come just yet so we are now still waiting! Eric keeps reminding me that I shouldn't complain because its not like I've really even reached my due date but that's harder to do now than I thought it would be. I am very much ready for her to be here but apparently my body is not. But luckily for me, Shauna's here with lots of fun projects for us to do while we wait.
