This afternoon we went to a baby shower for us that was put on by the 2nd ward. LaNea was so good she slept pretty much the entire time. 
These were the cutest boots and lucky for me they already fit her unlike most her shoe collection
I know the picture is bad but hopefully you can see all the fun gifts we got. They best part was that none of the clothes had the feet at the bottom. We've found that when they do, Lanie will outgrow them way too quickly.
She even stayed clean the whole time we were there. It only took one big and one extra large burp cloth. But she does look cute if I do say so myself!
On October 11, 2009, we had the joy of both visiting with family and giving LaNea her baby blessing! We had both our parents, Grandma and Grandpa Steenblik, Melissa and the Williams. Needless to say the house was full of adults but we did have lots of little girls to keep us happy.

Peyton was completely fearless when it came to getting to know everyone. I still wish I could be like that!
It was so great to see everyone and so nice to give me arms a break. Thank you for all coming to see us and we're looking forward to seeing family soon.

Our wide-eyed girl. There's no middle ground with this one, she's either very asleep or very awake.So LaNea has proved to be a very stubborn little girl. Our hardest part with her is getting her to sleep. Now, don't get me wrong, she loves to sleep, but the getting to sleep is quite an ordeal. You see, she can't go to sleep if her arms are out but as she falls asleep she needs to have her arms up. So the struggle begins. We try to swaddle her just tight enough that she won't get her arms out too soon but that she'll still be able to get them out later. After one success, I snuck in to see how it went and this is how she slept. So she may be stubborn but she's a cute stubborn.
